I used to occasionally have these kind of issues with the very first Oura ring, but never had the slightest connection issue with the current version. I’m an iPhone user though, so can’t really comment on Android.
At least from my experience I can highly recommend the Oura ring (and their customer support team is also amazing if you ever run into any issues).
